दहेज कानून के तहत किसके खिलाफ कार्रवाई हो सकती है?

दहेज लेना और देना, दोनों ही जुर्म है। 1961 में दहेज निरोधक कानून बनाया गया। 1983 में आईपीसी की धारा-498 ए बनाई गई, जिसके तहत दहेज के लिए पत्नी को प्रताड़ित करने पर पति और उसके रिश्तेदारों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई का प्रावधान किया गया है।

ज्यादातर महिलाएं काम और परिवार में व्यस्त होने की वजह से ‘मी-टाइम’ यानी अपने लिए समय नहीं निकाल पाती हैं। अमेरिका स्थित फैमिलीज एंड वर्क इंस्टीट्यूट के एक शोध के अनुसार 25 से 54 वर्ष की दो में से एक महिला का कहना है कि उसके पास अपने लिए बिलकुल समय नहीं है। जबकि विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि अपने लिए समय निकालने से खुशहाल जिंदगी बिताई की जा सकती है।
